iCollect Comic Books - Keys App Bewertungen

Don’t download unless you want to spend 30 bucks

I thought it was a great app, I went through. I was re-organizing my comics and thought maybe I could just use this app to you know get photo of what I had sword stop buying the same ones. Then I get to 30 comics entered and it tells me that my 30 comic entry limit is done and I have to pay 29.99 to continue. I carefully read everything before I downloaded this. I looked other reviews and none of them told me that I had to pay $30. Now so might say it’s not that bad but it is it’s $30 that I don’t have to spend. Thanks for nothing.

app is slow

can’t add multiple different issues of the same title. I need to enter 100s of issues of the same title

!

Very frustrating and not reliable.

Ok

It’s not the best but it’s better than I expected it to be

Nice

It gets the job done

Why reorder the comics?!

So if you click on one of your comics it immediately reorder that comic to the bottom of the comics with the same name! Why?? The ordering should be by issue number and that is all. Why autoorder the comics when we never asked for that?

Very limited free usage

I input 25 comics and hit the limit for free usage. Not user friendly nor of use for those on a budget. Ugh

Could have been a good app. It is making someone money.

Broken app built specifically to get upgrades, yet the basic app itself doesn't work. Must log in to see device based collection. Either way they are getting your info to spam/sell your email lol. If the app worked i would have bought the upgrade even though $29 is too expensive. Annoying menu cross sells you their other app - button is literally an ad. UI design looks like they put out a request on fiver and called it a day on first response. Pretty lazy app.

Collectors beware

The app makes you believe that it’s free but it will only let you upload 30. After the 30 they will ask you to pay a subscription fee. ITS NOT FREE!!

I love this app and I’ve only had it two minutes

It’s user friendly and very detailed. I’d love to see an option that lets you add signatures!

They Deleted my Collection

They moved to this app and Deleted my SortiApps Collection without providing any notice. They had my email address. Why not email me to let me know?

Handy program

Good app don’t think the market needs much more than this one. Keeps track of my comic book collection as well as ones I need. Very useful for when I go to the comic shop and have to figure out which ones to get. Has most comics published.

The best comic collection app there is

Super easy to use and allows for so much detail

$30?!?

Costs $30 if you want to scan more an 30 comics. That’s just insane! I’ve never heard of any app charging this much!

Ripoff

$30 for this?

Bar code scan doesn’t work

My CGC barcodes are good. They check out just fine on CGC’s website. Your barcode function is not scanning and manual entry isn’t working.

Good, but be prepared to make a lot of edits

This is a good program, one of the best I’ve seen to organize your collection. That said, the database appears to be based on everyone else’s entries, and that can lead to significant discrepancies. For instance, scanning the UPC for The Avengers #43 (June, 2021) will return “Avengers (2018) #43”. Scanning issue #44 will return “Avengers (Vol. 8) #44. Since your collection is sorted by title, then date, the different titles make it extremely difficult to determine which issues you have (and which ones you need). Additionally, the primary covers cannot be changed if you want to use an existing entry, so if you don’t like the photo, or if it’s wrong (as it has been more than a few times), you will have to enter everything manually. Lastly, you can’t enter an entire series, like Secret Wars #1-12 or Camelot 3000 #1-12, and will have to enter each issue. If you have a large collection with pre-2000 issues, prepare to do a lot of manual entries. Don’t get me wrong, once you get everything in and it the right order it’s great, but getting there should be much easier.

Simple but buggy

I like the app, but it is prone to freezing up while doing barcode scans. It also just crashed on me now, and I can no longer see anything that I have catalogued or my wishlist and the settings are frozen. I’m hoping this is temporary.

iCollect Comic Books on iPhone 12 Pro Max

These iCollect apps are pretty well done but this one has some issues. I have been adding lots of details to my collection and the barcode scanning is terrible compared to the movie one often bringing up incorrect entries forcing more editing. Adding pictures of the front, back and table of contents gives the option of adjusting the borders with drag circles but the left ones will occasionally close the window when being adjusted loosing the photo instead of resizing. Adding some comics like Heavy Metal magazine the volume numbers of early ones contain Roman numerals for volume and number but the field is to short. Sometimes scrolling down to add more details closes the entire work already done discarding everything with no warning or way to get it back forcing rework. There are two date fields used for different sorting options (great idea) but completing one doesn’t populate the other (I can see not forcing them to be the same but populate and let change if necessary would be great). It would be great if all the fields showed the last few entries used like the publisher does to help speed entry. I have lost almost an 1/8 of my entries before saving due to fat fingering or other issues so a warning before discard would be great. Thanks for all the work on creating this!

Lost My Collection

Can’t trust this app to retain my collection. I spent hours uploading my library on this app. I haven’t used the app in a year but had confidence it was there. Until I tried to log in and the system didn’t recognize my login credentials or even my email. No, I’m not “creating a new account”, you lost my old one.

30 comic limit then a $15 paywall

Was very excited to use this. Got halfway through my comic collection and then found as huge subscription paywall to add the other half. Will be deleting the app as only recording half my collection is useless to me. And I’m not paying $15 subscription to store the other half. I’d do $5 a month. Not $15. Heck, apple storage upgrade gives you multiple gigs for like $2 a month. This is a ripoff.

Hidden costs

I would have loved to have know I only get 30 free comics before I have to pay 14.99 to keep going. I laughed out all of these comic boxes and freed my afternoon so I could do this, only to get 30 deep. There was NO warning whatsoever I needed to pay for this app.

Main feature missing?

Tried it, reached the 30 comic limit then purchased. Before I reached the 30 comic limit , I realized adding “ runs “ was tedious, the ability to duplicate issue number 1 after all major fields filled in is non existent. Instead , I have to add #2,3,4, etc , each from scratch. Would be much better if I could duplicate issue one, with dates, publisher, title, etc ( attributes that don’t change ), duplicate it 10 times and then make individual changes to each. So, I bought it anyways, hoping that “ feature “ was in the paid version. But I don’t see it. Wondering why?

This app is terrible now

It never brings up data when new books are scanned. It just gets worse with time.

Mid

Good app tbh but you have to pay for more than 30 comics smh

5th Musketeer

All in all, a very resourceful and complete app. Flexibility to add and edit entries, and to create a solid inventory for your collection.

Great

Best app ever

Amazing!!!!

Love this app!! Helps keep me organized and helps me keep track of what I own!! Also helps me when buying new comics cause all I have to do is pull this app up!!!

Share crashes app

I downloaded the latest app as of today and if I select the “Share” icon on the top toolbar, the app just crashes. Collection piece works great, new feature crashing loses a star =\

The app with potential but has issues

It’s Works fine but I wish it worked and found the comics every time I scan barcodes, it’s ridicules it works %30 of the time and don’t even try finding a comic by tittle it never finds it. It has potential but needs a lot of work done.

Some parts slow, but otherwise great

Adding authors/artists/etc to a comic takes 5-ever. Once you press search, you are stuck waiting for the name to load in their database, and cannot back out or cancel the load (eg due to misspelling). You cannot add the name before searching it in their database, either. That is very, very annoying. Other than that, app has all desired features, especially cloud saves of data, and works great.

Helpful

Extremely helpful for when I’m out looking to see what I already have with the variants so I do not get a second copy

Devs, this note is for you

I found your app through blogs and couple of them that I saw, I went to click to download and the App Store said it’s not available in my region. I live in the US and if this app isn’t made for US, then comic book collecting is a moot point, no? LOL. YOu might wanna look into that

I Love this App

I am so happy because this App lists your comics Thank you for Creating this app

Good at first but not lasting

I had to purchase the ten dollar premium to upload more. I got to about 76 comics uploaded then didn’t touch it for months. Went to open it last night and not only could I not log in but it said I didn’t even have an account. Don’t know what that’s about.

Excelente.

É o primeiro que realmente atendeu as minhas necessidades.

Update

They dialed up the sensitivity for the barcode scanning and it is better but now too sensitive. I know. Goldilocks. But this is so fast it takes me a couple times to move the camera in place as it captures so fast. Also, the old search was much nicer scrolling. I do like the ability to look up an issue. We also lost the pre-populated condition options. Lastly, I’ve no desktop view any longer. That seems to be just gone for now.

App change

The app was amazing then it updated and it makes you pay a $15 subscription after you input 75 comics. Before the update I had over 200.

Nice collecting app overall

The only thing I would add is the ability to add in bulk instead of each book individually. For example add Amazing Spider-Man #189-330 all at once

Great idea flawed execution

The idea is great in terms of keeping track of your collection. However people also use this as an opportunity to upload porn in the image section of the books you’re trying to catalogue. Bar code scanner works about 50 percent of the time. Sometimes not at all and then pulls up incorrect titles. This app functions like a new Wikipedia. The free option is ok but don’t waste your money like I did on the 9.99 partially functioning app like I did . BUYER BEWARE

I love this App!

The only thing I would change is how the listing functions. Instead of just alphabetical, mixing titles together, alphabetize the list further by title as well. Example; currently Spawn and Superman are listed together under S. It would be nice to see a filter where Spawn and Superman are listed in their own title group.

Finally getting my collection into perspective

After decades of sitting in boxes in a closet, I started using this app to catalog the comics I hadn’t touched since the 80’s. It’s easy to use and shows me what’s been hidden away for years. It would be nice if metadata about each issue could be pulled from an online database (especially a rough idea on current value). Maybe that will appear in a future version.

Doesn’t work very well

Charged 10 for this and I have to take pictures of the books won’t save it to collection without pics and titles. Very frustrating

Just a thought

I wish there was an option to auto sort your books into the different series

App not working

App has never worked when trying to scan a barcode and will not work with adding the barcode manually. Data base search use to work but now it is not working. Only way to add a comic is to take a picture of it and add information manually.

So far so good

Does a great job organizing and spectacular job displaying the collection! Looks like the team does occasionally updates in the app. Would like more sorting options in certain locations. Would like to see some specific categories designed for HC or Paperbacks. Great start to building this app.

Missing comics

Good example just look at silver age avengers and there is no way to add those issues.the reason I’m giving this one star you can’t add batches. barcode scanner still does not work.but my gripe is why can’t I just add a bunch comics at once I paid 10 dollars for this and it has a lot of missing features.

Barcode scanner does not work

I would love to like this app, but I guess it doesn’t work with an iPhone 12 Pro Max. We tried it on my friend’s older Android phone, and it scanned fine, so the book and the user aren’t the problem. I cleaned my camera lens. Nothing. The barcode scan just doesn’t work on here. It’s extremely annoying.
